IPHC Media Release 2020-024 Recreational Fishery Closure in IPHC Regulatory Area 2A: California

SEATTLE – Closure: The International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC) notes that the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and NOAA-Fisheries have indicated that the fishery limit for the IPHC Regulatory Area 2A Pacific halibut recreational fishery for California was estimated to have been reached on 2 August 2020 and that the IPHC Regulatory Area 2A Pacific halibut recreational fishery in California will close at the end of the day (23:59 PDT) Tuesday, 11 August for the remainder of 2020.
