IPHC-2024-MR021 Commercial Fishing Period Closes
on 7 December 2024

SEATTLE – In accordance with the IPHC Fishery Regulations, Section 9 (Commercial Fishing Periods), “All commercial fishing for Pacific halibut in all IPHC Regulatory Areas shall cease for the year at 23:59 local time on 7 December.

 

New Logbook Submission Requirement

 

The IPHC reminds vessel operators fishing in waters in and off Alaska and IPHC Regulatory Area 2A of the following new requirement under Section 19 of the IPHC Fishery Regulations, effective this year:

 

         • Logbooks must be submitted to the Commission within 30 days of the fishing period closing date if not previously submitted.
